Welcome to the Marlin Academy Childcare Services section! We're dedicated to providing flexible, dependable, and enriching care for your child, perfectly complementing their school day and holidays. From a safe start in the morning to fun and engaging activities in the afternoon and during school breaks, we've designed our programs to support the needs of modern families. Explore our full range of offerings below, including Full-Time and Part-Time Afterschool programs, our Breakfast Club, essential Drop Home Services, and exciting Seasonal Camps (Summer, Halloween, and Easter)

Afterschool (4-12 years)

Welcome to the Marlin Academy Afterschool Programme—the perfect bridge between the school day and home time! We provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for your child once the school bell rings.

Our dedicated staff provides reliable collection services from a wide range of local schools, including DLETG, MTETG, Guardian Angels, Scoil Lorcain, The Harold, and Dalkey Project. Upon arrival, children are immediately served a nutritious hot dinner to refuel. The afternoon is then filled with a variety of supervised activities and clubs designed to spark creativity, promote teamwork, and ensure fun.

We offer flexible scheduling: children have the option to complete their school homework in a supported setting before enjoying a healthy evening snack around 5:00 PM ahead of collection. It’s more than just care—it’s an enriching end to their day!

Date TBC: Montessori Group (9.30am-12.30pm)

Get ready for an exceptional early learning experience! Marlin Academy is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our Montessori Group. Rooted in the acclaimed Montessori method, our programme will foster independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning in a carefully prepared environment. SL Mental Health; Conselling & Psychotherapy

SL Mental Health provides expert Counselling & Psychotherapy services dedicated to promoting psychological well-being. Running conveniently from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, our club provides a safe, warm, and relaxing environment before the school day begins. Children can enjoy a simple, healthy breakfast, choosing between various cereals and toast, ensuring they are refueled and ready for their lessons. This service helps simplify your morning routine, providing an essential and friendly transition that prepares your child for a successful day ahead.

Drop Home

The Marlin Academy Drop Home Service provides a secure and reliable solution for your evening transportation needs. Operating every weekday evening from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, this service ensures your child is safely transported directly from our facility to your home. Designed for maximum convenience, our Drop Home Service gives parents peace of mind and frees up your time, knowing your child’s journey home is handled by our dedicated and trusted staff after a full afternoon of fun and activities.

Seasonal Camps

Keep the fun, learning, and adventure going during school breaks with the exciting Marlin Academy Seasonal Camps! We offer supervised, action-packed programmes during the Summer, Halloween, and Easter holidays. Each camp is filled with a fantastic variety of activities, from special outings like trips to the cinema and the beach to themed events such as Easter egg hunts, spooky Halloween activities, and creative dress-up days. We also incorporate engaging clubs like dance camps, ensuring every child finds something they love. Our Seasonal Camps provide a stimulating and memorable break in a safe, familiar environment.

Sensory Spaces

Marlin Academy Childcare is proud to feature dedicated Sensory Spaces within our facility, acknowledging the vital role sensory exploration plays in a child's development and well-being. These areas are thoughtfully equipped to provide both calming retreats and stimulating environments, catering to different sensory needs. Our sensory spaces help children regulate their emotions, enhance focus, and improve motor skills through engaging textures, soft lighting, interactive features, and quiet zones. This specialized area ensures that every child, regardless of their learning style or sensory profile, has a nurturing place to explore, relax, and thrive.

Large Outdoor Play Area

Step outside and discover our expansive Outdoor Creative Zone, a massive area spanning approximately 1500 square metres dedicated entirely to imagination and play. This spacious environment is built for active fun and creation, featuring soft, yet highly durable flooring that ensures safety while being perfectly suited for children to sit, draw, and move freely. Equipped with plenty of chalk, this huge outdoor canvas invites children every day to express themselves, collaborate, and bring their biggest, brightest artistic ideas to life on a safe and resilient surface

Designated Dining Areas

Our dedicated Dining Areas at Marlin Academy are designed to be warm, comfortable, and social spaces where children enjoy their nutritious meals and snacks, including the hot dinner provided after school and the morning Breakfast Club. We ensure the dining environment is clean, well-lit, and appropriately sized to encourage positive eating habits and social interaction among peers. These spaces are essential to our routine, providing a communal area where children can relax, refuel, and engage in conversation, making mealtime a pleasant and structured part of their day.

Quiet, Calm Corners

Within our busy environment, we have thoughtfully integrated dedicated Quiet Calming Corners to serve as peaceful retreats for children who need a moment of self-regulation or rest. These designated areas offer a sensory break from the main activity, featuring soft seating, gentle lighting, and materials like books or comforting objects. Our Calming Corners provide a safe and immediate space where children can reduce overstimulation, manage big emotions, or simply enjoy a period of tranquillity, supporting their emotional well-being throughout the day

Mandated Persons

At Marlin Academy Childcare, the safety and protection of every child are our absolute highest priority. To uphold this commitment, every member of our staff is a Mandated Person under the relevant Children First legislation. This legal designation means that our entire team has a non-negotiable duty and legal responsibility to report any knowledge, belief, or suspicion of harm to a child. This comprehensive approach ensures that our staff are fully trained, vigilant, and legally empowered to act decisively and responsibly, guaranteeing the highest standard of child safeguarding and creating a securely protected environment for all children in our care.

Healthy Eating Policy

Marlin Academy Childcare is firmly committed to promoting healthy development through our robust Healthy Eating Policy, especially concerning the hot dinners provided to children upon their return from school. We ensure that every hot meal is freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced, and incorporates all major food groups, focusing on fresh ingredients, lean protein, and ample vegetables. Our policy strictly limits processed foods, excessive salt, and added sugars, guaranteeing that the evening meal is not only delicious but also provides the essential energy and nutrients children need to participate fully in our afternoon activities and thrive.
