Emer Cleary visits, the author of Emilio the Emoo!

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Emer Cleary, the author of Emilio the Emoo! The children got to ask her questions about the life of an emu, neurodivergency and the process of composing and producing a novel. The author then introduced us to her puppet of Emilio, as seen in the photo below, and each of the children got a chance to meet and interact with him.

There was also a colourful reading of the novel, in which the author explained the different concepts of individuality, and what makes each person unique. That we should not be so quick to judge other people for the things they like, but rather attempt to understand these differences.
