Preview – showcasing a variety of afterschool clubs Dun Laoghaire

We are delighted to announce that Marlin Academy Childcare will now be showcasing a range of different afterschool clubs Dun Laoghaire, running from Monday-Friday.

Mondays will consist of Chess Club, with our Childcare Assistant Jancey. She will explain the basics associated with the game in the first few weeks, and the children will begin to build up a knowledge base of all things chess!

Tuesdays from 3.30pm will be Art Club with Tina! The ideas put forth will come directly from the children each week, and what it is they wish to create in their shared space. It is an open, inclusive environment and one in which children are allowed to express themselves in the comfort of their own afterschool.

Wednesdays are for LEGO club, organised by the Executive Assistant, Olly, and will consist of different techniques for mastering the art of your LEGO creations. This is a space for children to learn the benefits of team work, through different levels of knowledge, concerning creation of LEGO masterpieces!

Thursdays will be Football Club with Sabrina on the Astro-Pitch in Monkstown. This will run from 4.15-5.15pm every Thursday, and will give parents the opportunity to collect their children from here, if it better suits. The children will learn the benefits of working as a team, while also getting some fresh air and exercise with their peers.

Fridays are for PIZZA! Each Friday, we will have a dance club in the afternoon, followed by some delicious pepperoni or cheese pizza from Apache Pizza Dun Laoghaire. In the later afternoon then, children are invited to watch a film, or for those who are not allowed to have screen time, colouring/drawing opportunities would be available in a separate room.
